Group of Overseas Filipino Workers urged President Rodrigo Duterte to take action on Overseas Filipino Bank one seat for OFW on their Board of Directors.

Yusoph Admain, leader of the group and chairman of OFW migrant policy institute for development, a non-governmental organization said they have already taking action by discovering resolutions, having meetings with Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Chief Hans Leo Cacdac.

The group believed that permitting only one seat for an OFW to on the Board of Directors is alarming knowing that the banks is made for them.

In the composition of the bank, Executive Order 44 signed by President Duterte last September 28 to create OFB that entails 9 member Board of Directors from Landbank- designated OFW President assigned as Vice President, 4 Landbank-appointed directors as members, a member representing the Department of Labor and Development, a member representing the Overseas Filipino Workers Welfare Administration and from the private sector member representing the OFW.
